LONG POND, Pa. (AP) --
Jimmie Johnson's White House visit will have to wait. So will the start of the Sprint Cup race at Pocono Raceway.
Steady rain postponed Sunday's race and it has been rescheduled for 12:15 PM Monday.
Heavy rain hit the track Sunday morning. It let up about an hour before the scheduled 2 PM start and the sky brightened for driver introductions. The rain returned about 3:30 PM and soaked the surface again. There was light rain the rest of the afternoon, forcing the postponement.

Filed Under: Jamie McMurray, Roush Fenway Racing

With his sponsor gone and a pending NASCAR rule ready to dismantle his race team, there's not a bit of surprise in the NASCAR world that
Jamie McMurray's time is likely ending with
Roush Fenway Racing.
There's no shock, no outcry and nothing being written saying McMurray shouldn't have drawn the short stick in RFR's transition to the NASCAR-mandated four-team cap in 2010, and the reasoning is quite simple.
Why? It's as simple as looking at the incredibly unimpressive numbers Jamie McMurray has compiled since his Roush debut in 2006.

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) -- Carl Edwards made the most of his one-day Wisconsin getaway, winning Saturday's Nationwide series race at the Milwaukee Mile after taking a brief break from his Sprint Cup duties in California.
It's a repeat victory at Milwaukee and the first Nationwide win of this season for Edwards, who took the lead from fellow Cup commuter Kyle Busch with 44 laps left in the race and wasn't significantly challenged the rest of the way.

For Jack Roush, it was a milestone win in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. For different reasons, it was a milestone for Colin Braun.
Roush has been here before. Saturday's Michigan 200 at Michigan International Speedway marked the 50th time Roush has been to victory lane as a truck owner. Braun has never been there, and it was a sweet first win for the youngster.

Filed Under: Matt Kenseth, Roush Fenway Racing, Sprint Cup

Warning: Objects in this post may be the only way to successfully live through the NASCAR off-season. For best results, read rearview mirror early and often.
Driver: Matt Kenseth
Team: No. 17
Roush-Fenway Racing Ford
'08 Final Standing: 11th (-500)
Best Race: Dover (2nd-place)
Worst Race: Lowe's (41st-place)
Season in a box: Kenseth started his 9th full-time Sprint Cup season for the first time with a guy that wasn't named Robbie Reiser aboard the team's pit box thanks to Reiser taking on a higher role at the Roush-Fenway organization. Unfortunately, with Chip Bolin now calling shots, the season turned into one where Kenseth was hardly ever a factor.
