Nascar is killing the sport with all of its rules and regulations. Running nose to tail for majority of the race give me a D*$% break.

What a SH*T race. Screw restrictor plate racing and it's almost time to say screw NASCAR. The drivers and teams are great, they work hard and race hard. NASCAR "competitive rules" are going to to really injure or kill more drivers.

Congratulations to McMurray. Now that is out of the way I would like to say this was the worst race I have ever seen. In fact, calling what I saw today a RACE is insulting to any and all OTHER forms of racing.
I have heard many others complain that NASCAR is ruining itself for the past few years. I think today sealed the deal. NASCAR finally destroyed what was once great entertainment.

How come Jeff Gordan gets to finish as high as he did? He ran out of gas afNewman's crash and got pushed around the track and into the pits...I saw no other driver getting away with this 'cheating'...

Agreed! I didn't think that the cars were allowed to be pushed by official reace-track vehicles. I have seen teammated do that without penalty, but not NASCAR vehicles.

I am a fan of Hendricks Motorsports, what I found disappointing today was that Johnson gets the Pole position due to a rained out qualifying day! And then chooses to hang out in the back of the pack ALL DAY! unlike Gordon and Earnhardt and Martin who chose to RACE to the finish!

I'd like to share three points, but first congrats jamie!
First point:Why ban bump drafting, is it because of the carl edwards wreck? that was due to mirror driving not bump drafting.
Second point:Jimmie Johnson had a sixth place finish, you might think that "wow he worked hard for that spot!" truth is fans he stayed in the back ALL DAY (31st position)! While his teammates were up front ALL DAY,yet Jeff Gordon finished 24th and martin 28th (chase drivers)and JR.10th (non chase driver).
Third point:Last week NASCAR.com stated Kyle Busch as nascar's "bad boy",but I think that Brad Keselowski will be, he caused an incident today and 3 last week in the N'wide series,so he is not making any friends i.e.hamlin and probably ku.busch now.
In conclusion NASCAR fix the COT and put away with all the rules or you will lose more and more fans over the off season.

Good to see Jamie McMurray finally win one. Maybe the new Ford engine will be competitive with the Hendricks Chevys. As to the "race," what can you say? Nose to tail until late, when the guys decided it was time to move to the front. Then, someone made a mistake and Ryan Newman went for a wild ride. Thankfully, he was not badly hurt, but understandably very unhappy with the situation. Jimmie Johnson simply did what he had to do, just hang around in the back and move up when others ran out of gas or wrecked. Such strategic thinking by him and Chad Knaus likely insured another championship for the 48 team. Ban restrictor plate racing! Decrease the displacement if they must, but let the teams get the most they can out the engines!

I spent most of my time switching between football and the race. Even though I thought most of the race was boring, I stayed interested in it because I saw Kurt come back from 2 laps down and fight his way into the top ten only to see Brad spin him out on the last lap for a 30 place finish. I never heard ABC mention if he was ok or not, I thought he hit the inside wall pretty hard. Will there be any penalty for Brad on that bump?

SIMPLY UNDESERVED LUCK!!!
Little E 11th and RYNWM 36? Little E should had this win, NOT A GROUCH LOSER FIELD FILLER!
EVEN RY OLDMAN LED FEW LAPS and deserved a better finish then JJ6th.
I'm glad he came out alive and unhirt from that tumble; i saw worst wrecks than ryan FATMAN wreck
but when i saw the car roof crumbled down like that and the front of the car slending down to the tar and then the grass, I WAS NOT SO SURE HE WOULD COME OUT WITHOUT INJURYES OR WORST.
NAZCAR NEEDS TO GET READY OF RULES AND RESTRICTOR CRAP PERIOD!!!!!.that works for me...

I have to totaly disagree with --jimmy-- and his laid back approach to what he calls racing: This isn't any way for a champion to act ( race ?)
If he is afraid to run with the Big Dogs-- then sit on the poorch- leave the car in the truck- and hide in the locker room:
This is proof that NASCAR's chase isn't working: Every week you need to race among 43 +/- drivers and all the points through November decide who is the "Champion" When a points leader is just racing against 12 drivers- he chooses to hide out for a given race because he is scared- not good enough - or just plain chicken to drive- then it belittles the sport- the fans and is a slap in the face to the other teams who are out there giving it their best:
Joey was running up front most of the race- so I guess remodeling my kitchen is going to Home Depot instead of Lowes:

Wow what a fiasco, that had to be the worst race yet if you even want to call it a race. And as far as JJ is concerned IMO that is no way for a 3 time champion to compete, what a joke. Some of you have mentioned Brad Krash-a-lowski on this blog and I'm pretty sure he was being bumped by Vickers when the mayhem started. The current status of Nascar's chase system just flat out SUCKS and you can put an asterisk by JJ's 4th title. I wonder what rules will be added or changed an hour before next weeks race-er-I mean show.

IT IS ASHAME FOR A SO CALLED 3 TIME CHAMP TO SEAT BACK AS SCARED PUSSY and wait to last 10 laps to start racing and then even get all the luck in the world to NOT GET CAUGHT IN THE LAST 2 FINAL WRECKS and get a top 6 finish just because other drivers have wrecked and ran out of gas.
