INDIANAPOLIS -- Troubles continue for Kyle Busch and it may cost him a shot at the Sprint Cup Championship. The right front tire on Busch's No. 18 Toyota blew out on lap 57 of the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard Sunday sending the car hard into the Turn 3 wall at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and eventually into the garage for major repairs.
Busch was able to return to the race but finished 38th and drops outside the top-12 Chase contention with only six races remaining to set the playoff field. He's 82 points behind 12th place Matt Kenseth and now has only one top-10 finish in the last eight races.
"We were just biding our time,'' Busch said after climbing out of his car. "I had been loose the whole run so I didn't think I had been abusing it (tire) at all, but all of the sudden it just started vibrating and then in two laps it just blew out. I don't know what happened.
"I think it's pretty self-explanatory that we're trying to fight for a spot in the Chase and this is obviously frustrating because I don't know if it was our cars, the tire or what.'''

Hopefully Kyle won't have more bad luck like last year. He has the talent. If he performs as he can, he will be at the top when the season resets for the chase.

Are you retarded or something? I really wish NASCAR didn't have fans like you. It makes us all look like dumbass rednecks. Do us all a favor and either stop posting ridiculous comments with your $300 e-machine or stop watching the races altogether.

A couple weeks ago I commented on the fact that Kyle Busch was only a relatively few points away from not being in the top 12. Now that the other drivers, particularly the Hendrick drivers, have learned how to drive and set up the new car that checkers or wreckers attitude is just not working. All Baby Busch is now is dangerous. If he is lucky, now that he has decided to try and apply for membership in the human race you can expect him to be more consistant in actually finishing a race. After all, finishing in 12th place will get you in the chase, 35 spots behind Tony Stewart will not. I wonder if Tossed Salad watched the race.

If there is any substance to that rumor, Anna, perhaps it explains Kyle's sudden epiphany that he has things he needs to change. There are plenty of people that would pull for the guy if he only became likable. Not saying I am one of them but you never do know, I had almost as much disdain for Tony Stewart and now consider him a role model. I am sure you remember a couple years ago when TS was having his troubles with the media and blaming everyone but himself for his problems he got the same beat down Kyle Busch currently gets from a majority of fans. Now, he certainly has more fans and less detractors. Granted, many of those are the bandwagon jumpers just getting on the ride of a winner. But he does have more people like myself that like the way that he presents himself now.
Oops, back to Busch. Major sponsors are hard enough to come by unless you are one of the top 3 in fan favorites. Losing one because you are a poor role model is not smart business. In the current economy losing a major sponsor has shown to be the kiss of death to lessor teams.
Sorry, I have no interest in that other blog, too many "instant fans". Any time AOL puts up the link on its main headlines to the Nascar Fanhouse it attracts too many drive by bloggers. As I have all too often said, the shorter the post the dumber the author. They obviously have nothing of interest to contribute and cannot back what they say so they "hit and run".

YEAH mike that looked strange to me too about the KYLIE suddenly thinking of changing his ways. The coach must had a mean talk with the baby.
TS had his share to but to compare TS ANTICS to the KYLIE? WOW, big defference there one would think. I'LL say STEWRT ways were more comparable to
DE#3 first half of his career than the KYLIE.
And the sponsors never thought about dumping STEWART
as the KYLIE ones are apparently doing.
Works for me...

Good post MLB. You and I see it quite the same. Always been a TS fan although I disagreed with some of the things he did and said. He's cleaned up pretty good and his new position as owner/driver, wont't allow him do act as he has in the past and he knows that and has adjusted admirably and I think his fellow drivers will agree.
