INDIANAPOLIS -- Last year around this time in Indy, he won the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard. This year he chatted live at FanHouse.
Defending Allstate 400 champ Jimmie Johnson participated in a live chat with FanHouse's readers from the Brickyard at Indy.
Check out Jimmie's answers to your questions after the jump.
Also, don't forget that myself (Holly Cain) and blogger Geoffrey Miller will be checking in all weekend live from Indy with race coverage, behind-the-scenes reports, and more.
And we've also got two more chats set up for Friday, with Sam Hornish Jr. (12:15 PM ET) and Dale Jarrett (4:30 PM ET). Stay with FanHouse all weekend for great NASCAR coverage.

Did you ever think that you would make history when you started racing? What is Mr. Hendrick like, he seems to be a great role model?
I am very proud of you, Chad and the entire 48 team. I am pulling for you to 4Peat and have complete confidence that you can do it.

When I was in second grade I was at my gram's house and she was watching a nascar race. I got really into it and said I love that car and pointed to #48. 8 years later I'm still cheering for you and my room is full of you. Posters, newspaper articles, lamps, trach cans, anything you can imagine. You truely are my hero, and I'll be cheering you on till the end. I love you (:

Jimmy, I want to say I have been following you for years. And one of the biggest reasons, is your compassion, commitment to your family and the sport, as well as your ability to be an all around heck of a good driver! You have proven that fame doesn't have to go to your head, and there's more to life than winning. Thanks for being the well rounded role model that I am proud to follow week after week. Good luck with your upcoming 4th Championship!!

Hi, Jimmie!
I'm your number 1 fan from Ohio. :) My dad's always been a fan of Jeff's and we went to our first NASCAR race (Talladega) the year before you entered the Cup series. From that year on, you became my favorite!
I was wondering if you and Chandra have any pets, what are they, names, etc?

Hi Jimmie. My name is Jack and I am 8 years old. I have been a fan of yours for 4 years, since I started watching Nascar. You signed my hat last year at Dover and it was the best day I could ask for. I was at the Dover race this year when you beat out Tony Stewart for the win. It was so exciting. Do you ever get nervous when the race is that close in the final laps? I sure was nervous in the stands!

Hello Jimmie,
Do you think with you not shaving has been blessing or a curse? I think you are very sexy clean shaven or with a shadow. Good Luck the rest of the season!!

Walked down Pit Road at Charlotte race this year, rainy and wet, hoped to see or shake your hand as well as Chad's been a fan of the both of you since you hit NASCAR. Keep it up the 4peat is around the corner. I'm going to try to be there in Homestead when you do it. Good Luck, Bob Coman

I am so bummed that I missed the "live chat" with Jimmie, my number one driver! Unfortunately, I had to work. It's great to see so many other JJ fans and some great questions.
Congratulations on a great season thus far, Jimmie. Keep it up and win that 4th championship for you and your fans!
