DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Tony Stewart usually takes every win any way he can. After wrecking Kyle Busch on the last lap at Daytona International Speedway, he didn't much feel like celebrating. sent Busch hard into the wall right before the finish line.Busch passed Stewart right before the final lap to take the lead Saturday night, but Stewart chased him down and calculated his next move. He closed in on Busch's bumper, and slight contact sent Busch drifting up the track.
Busch slid back down to maintain his lead, then tried to slide in front of Stewart to block Stewart's next move. The cars were too close together and Stewart hooked Busch's right corner to send Busch sailing into the wall.
It triggered a multiple crash behind them, but Stewart sailed through for his second points win of the season.
"That's not the way I wanted to do it," sighed Stewart, who won the summer Daytona race for the third time in five years.
It was a violent wreck for Busch, who climbed from his car apparently unscathed but had to be forced by four NASCAR officials into a waiting safety vehicle. He finished 14th and refused to comment after the race.

I am very disappointed that this post says Tony wrecked Kyle, look at the replay. Kyle turned into Tony and wrecked himself. Although I admire both drivers Kyle got ehat he deserved. You reap what you sow.

I think the monopolizing of hendrick motor sports is ruining the sport- even gordon is thinking about leaving that was a dirty move comsidering that kyle helped him out the hole race- he is driving for hendricks- its a joke and running the sport- sold season tickets and there no fun left - jr should leave and save his respect for his fathers honor.

Shrub is such a baby! We would have had to watch his boorish acts of burnouts and bowing had he won. Be a man and talk and dont act like a 9 year old KY. Tony you have nothing to apologize for in this matter. Shrub blocked you twice and what happened happened.

Did you watch the race? Tony didn't "wreck" Busch. The contact was made by Busch in a lame attempt to block Stewart, causing Busch to spin into the wall. It was a weak effort to hold off a stronger car, and the whiney little bitch had it coming to him.

Did Kyle think he was just going to block Tony twice and get away with it???? He would have done exactly the same thing. Quit whining and crying Kyle, it's geting old. I'm glad nobody was hurt but you got what you deserved. I feel sorry for the drivers behind you that were wrecked because of a stupid move you tried. Kyle's all happy and bowing when he wins, but crying and making a fool out of himself when he loses. Man-up Kyle, you got beat.

Absolutely was Kyles fault. He tried to block high and was`nt clear enough. Stewart apologized because he felt he may have been at fault, he took the high road with his response because he did`nt have a view of the replay. Once he see`s the replay he`ll know it was no fault of his. These writed for AOL are morons, what the hell do they know.

Tony has nothing to feel bad about. The Busch brothers shouldn't even be racing---remember they both have DUI's which NASCAR did NOTHING about. WAY TO GO SMOKE!!!!! WE SURE ENJOYED THE WIN AND HOW YOU WON!!!

Kyle is to blame for the wreck not Tony. If Kyle does it to another driver it's just racing. If they do it to him he wants them kicked out of racing. He had it coming, the big cry baby. He should get out of racing and his brother too.

I shouldn't be surprised that again AOL Fanhouse is yet again getting a Nascar story wrong, especially since they have the shittiest coverage of Nascar among any other website. They have absolutely no breaking news when something is happened, let alone a sniff of something about to break, it's like we already know about it before AOL Fanhouse does. Stewart did NOT shove Kyle out of the way, Kyle was mirror racing, tried to block, and slid his own car across the front clip of Stewart's and spun himself out. God, i think Fanhouse should just stop covering Nascar, they either are missing a story and not covering it, or getting the damn facts completely wrong!

I didn't hear Kyle "whine" or say anything. He declined to say anything. Which was the right thing to do. If he said anything at all, people would misquote him.

Way to go Tony!!!! Kyle took himself out. PERIOD!!!!!! Hate all the other drivers were taken out by his stupidity. Hey, Kyle, You're playing with the big boys now. They won't take it off of you. They've been racing for a long time and eat kids like you for breakfast. Hopefully you learned something from that incident.
Tony, I really like the new you!!! Never thought I'd ever start rooting for you, but I have. You're really cute when you smile. Looks much better than the angry face of yester year. Keep it up.
