true, toyota is a France family sellout, but Che Obama has written the book with chrysler, and gm. chrysler is now a doomed third-rate car company majority owned by its militant union run by Italian management building congressionally designed “green” cars no one wants to buy financed by taxpayers into perpetuity because no private investor in their right mind will touch the company with a ten foot pole. Is this supposed to be economic policy or comic opera?

hafttwo,
Go get a kleenex and wipe your tears whiney ass!
God, some people need to get a pair and stop bawling over the SAME issue. I just hope BMW and Mercedes get a team together and get into Nascar. Now those would be a high quality class car race.

Chrysler isn't just now a doomed third rate car company. They have been a doomed third rate car company for years. They should have already failed.
I do agree tho that the government is mandating 'green' cars that few want to buy. There are a lot of people that want to fix that problem by raising gas taxes. Bad idea!

As an owner of two Crysler/Dodge vehicles, I must agree with Susan & Greg. They are a third rate car manufacturer, but have been for years. I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado. It's a good car but has required a lot of money and upkeep. The newer Jeeps though are crap! The second, a POS 1998 Dodge Caravan that I couldn't even give away to someone if I tried. They wouldn't even take it in on trade for my new Kia van. That's pretty bad. At 80,000 miles, replaced the transmission. At 90,000 miles, replaced the engine. At 120,000 miles, engine and transmission problems again, hence the purchase of my new van. Chrysler doesn't build a quality product and their service and warranties suck. They deserve what is coming to them, IMO.
Now for Kyle's win. Congratulations to him! He drove that car like he was on fire. Tony gave it all he had to try to catch him and just couldn't get there. Like him or not, Kyle is one hell of a talented driver and we will be seeing him in the winners circle for many years to come!

Gregg, Why do you blame the UAW? do they design the cars? do they warranty the cars? all the UAW workers do is build cars as instructed, just like any other worker in America. I can not stand people who have no clue as to what they are talking about when they mention the UAW. To compare a mercedes to a chevy? I think you are just bragging to bolster your ego. As for Bush, he is a normal driver like Kahne did a couple years ago, Johnson, Edwards. He is in a car that is given advantages by Nascar for the sake of money. It will ruin the sport and the fans will rebel, it won't happen instantly, but like the housing crisis, it will come down like a hammer on the sport.

I also agree with Susan and my bud Kim about Chrysler. I just bought a Mercedes here in Japan (S 550) I understand why Benz left them in the dust..crappy UAW would NOT work with anyone. The Hummer is nothing but a jeep with oversize wheel flares..JUNK JUNK. Now the humvees are getting better (Chevy does not own the the military humvees Thank God)but Chevy has ruined many great cars the Olds, Pontiac and need to get rid of the old people's car called the Saturn..junk.
Yes Kim, Kyle is good (Not the prettiest boy out there)but who is liking the drivers on how they look I am NOT!! His driving skills are better than any driver out there and his records are speaking volumes. I love it when these people say Toyota bought the sport..go whine to someone who actually believes that crap!
Move over bowtie here comes the "Rising sun"
Sorry Kim could not resist..LOL

CHRYSLER HAS BEEN A DOOMED THIRD RATE CO. FOR THE LAST 25 YEARS for your info.
Before the italians bought in to, it was owned by MERCEDES and they dumped it after only 5 years.
BEFORE MERCEDES was owned by the french RENAULT and they dumped it after 7-8 years. before the frances, the GERMAN AUDI owned doom chrysler and they dumped it after 7 years. Before yet, it was owned by VOLKSWAGEN another german co. AND THEY DUPED after 6 years and during those 6 years italian MASERATI
purchased a high stake in chrysler to save it from
DOOMING DAY.
CHRYSLER HAS ALWAYS BEEN A PIECE OF SHIT DUDE!!!!. TALK TO THE EXPERTS MECHANIC AND LEARN.

Ken,
The UAW has always been bad business for everyone. It is NOTHING but an extortation. There is no need for unions in this day of age. Too many laws protecting the workers from mismanagement. UAW is the problem..why is it that the workers get paid for driving a forklift $50.00 an hour! High school education at best!
UAW and bad engineering decsions have ruined the LITLLE THREE. Bad team always lose ..get with the winning team AND LEARN. Go Kyle for the Rising Sun is behind you!
