I'd imagine you've seen a thing or two about this story in the past couple of days, but in case you haven't, it's worth reading about.Essentially, the gist of the of the story is that somebody, somewhere is very happy to rain on Kyle Busch's parade in 2008. You remember Busch, right? That guy who has won eight Sprint Cup races in 2008? Or, more timely, the guy who finds himself just puttering through the Chase for the Sprint Cup in 12th-place, wondering how tables can turn so fast.
Busch, who's scheduled to race in Friday night's Craftsman Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, got to the Lone Star State track Thursday only to find that his No. 51 Billy Ballew ride had been charred in a fire along the interstate in Shreveport, La.
The fire left only one race truck -- reports are conflicting so we don't know whether or not it the primary or the backup that was salvaged from the fire -- and a pit box usable, and burned up the rest of the equipment. This bad luck for the team and continuation of bad luck for Kyle Busch simply is incredible to me.
Despite all of that -- a truck burning up, a donated transporter to get it to the track, cleaning the water out of the race engine -- Busch was able to make an incredible run in qualifying for the CTS race by putting the No. 51 third on the grid.
I won't admit to being the biggest Kyle Busch fan, but the stack of cards he's been dealt late in the season after the tremendous way he started 2008 doesn't come close to being fair, and for him to take a truck that had literally burned up -- take a look at this picture that shows the decal had been charred -- and put at the front of the field for a major NASCAR race is incredible.
Hopefully, for Kyle Busch fans, this is the turning of tables back towards the the not-so-far-off days of Shrub domination in NASCAR after his horrible luck of late.

Maybe now this spoiled young man with the huge ego will step back and look at his recent behavior. It's hard to have any sympathy for him until he changes his attitude.

REALLY??? 10 WINS IN THE NWS.
8 WINS IN THE SPRINT CUP, MAYBE 10 ALSO BY HOMESTAD RACE.
4-5 WINS IN THE TRUCK SERIES.
Isn't enough to shut up the bashers?
Maybe he needs a little more attitude and than the KB FANS WILL KNOW once again that he DOES HAVE IT ALL FIGURED OUT!!!!!!!!!. We knew he did , we never had to hope for!!!!!!!!.

Kyle Busch donated $ 100,000 to help Sam Ard this weekend. Sam Ard is a two time Busch champion (a pioneer in the sport) suffering from Alzheimer's with financial difficulties.
I think it was an awesome act of kindness, respect and class. It was great to see a young driver honor and help a older driver that helped blaze the trail.

i saw it on tv when kb came out tooting his own horn over his donation. while i think it was probably the nicest thing he has ever done in his life, i got the feeling it was entirely scripted to help his image. it was a direct contrast to how many other drivers handle their donations. maybe it is just me, i still di not like the guy.

I didn't see Kyle tooting his own horn. I heard Kenny Wallace talking about his good deed on RaceDay.
I am not a KB fan. I thought he did a good deed quietly.

it was in his post race victory interview. he said, "i am donating $100,000 to sam ard who has alzheimers". like i said, maybe it is just me, but it was absolutely staged.
one of the things i admire about stewart is the fact that he has been very generous but does it quietly. he does not announce his donations at his victory speaches.

MIKE, either you were trying to catch the nascar milion dollar
that they were going to pay to a fan if gordon had won or ya may seen a milion $$ tigthened to that tree and you tryed to get there before anybody else.
Either way i'm glad you survived and still able to type.
Could went much worst. MOTORCYCLE CRASHES ARE NOTHING LIKE NAZCAR CRASHES as you know.EVERY YEAR
dozines of bikers DIE HERE IN DAYTONA, for BIKE WEEK OR BIKE OCTOBER FEST and i saw it happening couple times and pained me really bad mentally and phisically for days even tough those people were strangers i never met.
I used too ride a honda 650 in my teens and have crashed fewtimes. I WAS LUCKY, OR GOD WAS BEHIND ME.
For ages i been trying to talk my son into getting ready of the
KAWASAKY or any bike completely and just ride a car or truck.
I'm wasting my time.Like many and me in my teens he is a bike freak. So again glad you are ok and no broken bones i hope
but 6 hr in the ER? Something must went through hell in your body, cannot be just bruises and scratches.
Take care and good luck to a speedy recovery.

i do have a broken left arm which is why i can only use one hand. i meet with an orthopedic surgeon today about setting it. it is a good thing i was wearing my full faced helmet. while i prefer to only wear that one when it is cold out, i will probably throw my others away.

WHAT I MEANT WAS THAT I WILL GET RID OF ALL MY HELMETS THAT ARE NOT FULL FACED. MY FULL FACED HELMET SAVED MY FACE AND MAYBE MY LIFE.

That's exactly what i meant too about getting ready of the helmet. The once that are not full face. Sorry, i thought you'll understand without me specefying in details.
THE FULL FACE ONCE ARE USUALLY THE BETTER ONCE
AND SAFER but there are some cheaply made quality there too.My son was wearing a NOT FULL FACE ONE and that's the one i trashed and got him a real one ;meaning a good quality FULL FACE ONE. GEEZ BLOGS ARE SURE CONFUSING: EITHER THAT OR IT'S ME CONFUSING what i mean and say.

Mike,
It's good to know that your (semi) ok. Hopefully, you'll feel much better soon.
I miss reading your posts. Even the ones that I completely disagree with. :)
One last serious thought, I do think that you need to replace the helmet that you were wearing. I know that car seats need to be tossed after impacts. It would seem that helmets should be as well. JMO.
Take care and God Bless!

thanks ladies. i will certainly be getting a new helmet. there are "dot" and "snell" certified. snell is the better, that is what i wear. i found out yesterday my bike was totalled. since they are cheapest in Dec i will wait till then to get a new one. now i am looking for a good car that gets at least 30 mpg.
