Teresa Earnhardt Not Dead and Other Ridiculously Stupid NASCAR Commentary

I swear, I think you and your readers spend more on looking for mistakes by the announcers than you do on watching the race. But I bet not one of you can do one bit better than the ones you trash. It sounds like a case of mic envy to me. It's not like the viewing audience is made up of rocket scientists. So back off, and cut them some slack. If you want to bitch about something, go look in the mirror and bitch about what mother nature did to you. I rest my case.....

TGOM who or what is a Don Emerson? This ? just takes up space in the comment sections, if hes so smart TGOM why dont he have a blogg ?. Rusty, Jerry, Susie, Brad, the two out of work crew chief's and ESPN and ABC suck when it comes to covering NASCAR. What is DaleJr going to blame it on next year when he has a good car and still can't drive?

You are right Kimbo...you can't win with Emerson but it's not because he can best everyone, it's because he uses no logic in his arguments, only rhetoric. If you want to have a non-logical debate with someone, he's your guy.

Hey TGOM, I didn't mean the mirror remark for you anymore than I meant the boob/intelligence thing for Kim. I meant no harm, excuse me if I hit a nerve. As for bud the dud, he struck first, I just replied to his lame comments. As for Ron the drag queen, he's just frustrated because he couldn't remember to turn left at the end of the straightaway and thus never made it to nascar. Hmm the rest of you I don't know, so relax, you're safe. Until now, I have decided to not address your blog remarks. Well, we all knew that wouldn't last too long, now didn't we?

Let me give you some advice.....Perhaps you should take an Internet Etiquette course so you could learn how to properly address people in a non-threatening and demeaning way. Now that would be of course if you really meant no "harm" with your comments, but I find that hard to believe. So my other advice would be, back off a little. You don't have to be so insulting and rude. If you didn't mean the "boob" and "lesser intelligence" comment toward me or the "look in the mirror" comment toward TGOM, then why say them? You do these things because you know it will get a rise out of people. Now what does that say about you, you ask? Guess what? I know the answer.

With my extensive research in the field of Psychology along with my degree & numerous honors in said field, I will now give my assessment as to what kind of man I think you truly are. Okay now, everyone read along, here we go....

You are probably in your mid twenties to late thirties. You live alone (although the thought of you living with your Mom is funny), you do not have many friends because let's face it you don't have a very pleasant personality. You have an education but use your intelligence to berate others instead of putting it to good use. You have either no job or a job you hate and are miserable at. You probably have no woman, haven't had one in quite some time and sure as heck can't keep one around because you treat them with disrespect. And finally, you have Mother issues because your father was probably an abusive husband & father.

Although I have much more, I am done for now. Am I close? Did I hit a nerve?

Perhaps you should start considering other's feelings before you "attack" them verbally and just address them with respect and you will receive a different reaction. But then again, I believe you receive the exact reaction you are looking for most of the time. This of course is just some food for thought.

Take care & possibly seek some mental health assistance if you haven’t already (it is possible some quack job of a Psychiatrist told you to express your anger at strangers on the Internet. If so, he's an idiot...it's not working)!

Now that that's over (Wow, I feel better), I will actually write something about the subject matter.

It is too hard to ignore the crappy coverage of NASCAR that ABC/ESPN provides to us the fans. First, the football updates are ridiculous! I love football, but don't care about it when I am watching my NASCAR race. Second, you have three announcers, two of which know nothing about racing and no Rusty Wallace is not the "one" that actually does. Brad has actually been involved in NASCAR & Racing for a long time and is actually quite knowledgeable. He is just a little bland. If he didn't have two idiots sitting beside him, you would all probably be able to see that and enjoy him more. And finally, there is absolutely NO EXCUSE not even a "stutter" or "lisp," for mispronouncing a driver or a crew chief's name for Pete's sake! All the fans know who is who and how to pronounce their names. Is it too much to ask that the announcers, especially Rusty a fellow driver, do the same?

This is of course just my opinion. :-)
