Another top 10, another $10. Dave Blaney's 6th place finish earned him another spot in the owners points standings, which means I owe the Victory Junction Gang Camp more dough.Blaney grabbed the 34th spot from the #45, driven mostly by Kyle Petty, whose 18th place finish in Saturday night's Bank of America 500 marked only his third top 20 for the season. His best finish was 3rd, last time around at Charlotte--his only top 5 of the season.
Lucky for him, Bill Elliott didn't fare too well in the #21, finishing 35th and doubling the gap between the 35th and 36th spots. I'm not understanding why Wood Brothers / JTG Racing isn't keeping Ken Schrader in the car. I realize he hasn't set the world on fire, but Elliott's not been significantly better and there's something to be said for a little consistency.
Scott Riggs is over 300 points out now and has the #10 car in 37th place--bummer for Patrick Carpentier who takes over driving duties in 2008 and will start the season being forced to qualify on time. Hey ... is he cleared to race in Daytona?

You know, Anna, i know this will piss people off, but i really hope Kyle falls out of the top 35 and starts to miss some races and hope maybe it'll help Kyle realize it's TIME TO GET OUT of the car! But then again, Mikey Waltrip cant realize that, so i guess that might not work for Kyle either. However, it was great to see a REAL talent in the 55 car when it had Terry Labonte in it. Im hoping it's a matter of time before Napa finally tells Waltrip to get out of the seat or they're leaving for greener pastures. I tell you though, it worked for Dale Jarrett. He had enough class to do what's best for the team, his career, and his sponsor, unlike what Kyle and Mikey does, but then again, Jarrett's a champ, and Mikey and Kyle have only won 12 wins combined. It's a shame those sponsors stay to make them believe they have any chance of winning races anymore. But even if Kyle falls out, they'll probably swap Bobby and Kyle's rides so Bobby can use his past champ provisional and Kyle will use the 43 owner points. I tell you, i really would love to see Bobby at that fourth RCR car starting in 2009. I wish Bobby could get a win for the #43, and although they've improved very slightly with the new crew chief, i just dont see it happening, especially with Kyle Petty in denial of his career being over.

Hey, anna, i left a post on that other blog, again sorry to be MIA. I tell you, i tell you, im glad i havent talked to any Gordon fans lately, cause frankly i'd probably lose my cool with them. They want to call Jr fans obnoxious, but you outta hear some of Gordon fans who have the same stuck up persona that he does and think their crap doesnt stink attitude is the best! Alot of Jr's critism and haters are on him cause of his name which he cant help but he does have the talent. Cant blame him for not making the chase, that'd be Richie Gilmore and his POS engines that kept blowing up. And after what i saw Saturday night between Jr and Gordon, well, let's just say anybody that believes they'll work together as teammates are pretty damn nieve, cause it isnt happening in the future. As far as this year, dont worry, cause all the Gordon fans will be pissing and moaning when Stewart is only ONE championship away from a tie with Gordon! Take it easy!
