Continuing with less experience is more theme, Robert Yates Racing pulled Kenny Wallace out of the #88 this week at Talladega and replaced Ricky Rudd with Wallace's brother, Mike, instead. It's not obvious to me why ... Kenny has more Nextel Cup experience and a better record at Talladega. RYR might have done better to put

Say it ain't so!
And what does this mean for Allstate, the insurance company formerly known as the Official Insurance of NASCAR?

As begrudgingly as I must say this...Mike's in the car because he's overall a better restrictor plate racer. The only races he tends to even really attempt anymore are at Daytona, and my guess is that RYR is hoping to bank on his ability to get really good finishes in crappy cars at Daytona. (I still don't like the idea of Mike in a race, though. Dude has stated that women have no place behind the wheel of a stock car. Which is almost funny, considering it's his daughter that races. Then again, he said that before Krissy got into the sport, so maybe he's changed his tune.)

the only mistake nascar made last sunday was that they restarted a race that should never have been restarted. i understand about trying to send people home thinking tehy got their moneys worth as going to the track has become a costly thing. i am a fan i i would want to think that. every now and then the safe and smart thing to do is not restart after a race has become official.the conditions left behind after the rains sunday left the track in poor racingcondition and saftey of the drivers and the owners investment in equipment needs to be cosidered first before restarting and nascar did a very poor job in making this call.

I agree, Mike will probably do a better job, but not by much. As for Nationwide coming on board, we can look for some changes next year. Since they are a car insurance company, we can look for the cars to have turn signals, brake lights, and proof of insurance. Then too, let's not forget the "safe driver" award to be given at the end of each race. As for Warren, hey kid, hitch a ride in an Indy car and you'll be in Nascar within a year or two.

At least I'm not the only one who thinks it's Warren Wallace and not Lauren Wallace. ;) Don't worry about Warren...if Geico can make an entire TV show out of the cavemen, I'm sure Warren has a future in sitcoms.

I don't usually spout off one liners on here as most of you know, but here goes....
It's all about the almighty dollar in Nascar, isn't it?
Nationwide Insurance is a Monopoly. I can't stand them. This is a sad shame indeed.

I was watching Trackside a couple of weeks ago and they said his name was "Lauren".
Maybe they could get Rusty to race at Talledaga. At least we wouldn't have to listen to him announce the race!!

It's Lauren, not Warren!! (THe benefits of Closed Captioning.)
I don't like any of the Wallace's since Rusty retired.
And you can always count on the #66 (Steve Wallace) taking out at least 1 car during the Busch (NWI) race. That is one driver that I hope NEVER makes it into the CUP series

Nascar only cares about the money. They are a monopoly. Since Brian France is going to China so often, it appears they now want to go worldwide. It upsets me to watch this all happen. Mike Wallace is just wrong about women drivers. Of course, Erin Crocker has set back women drivers 25 years anyway.

Anna, The way Nascar makes up there rules as they go along, do you really think they would let an Ins. Co. control any part of what Nascar does. Of course It might depend on the discount upper nascar management gets with there own Ins., you can never be to sure what those BOZO'S will come up with next.

I ALWAYS TOUGHT RACEING WAS ABOUT WHO CAN RUN FASTER
AND WIN. I GUESS I WAS WRONG. THE NEW RACING CRITERIA OF NASCAR RESTRICTOR PLATES RACING HAS CHANGED TO WHOEVER CAN RUN SLOWER AND LOOSE.
WHEN ARE THE TEAM OWNERS OR THE DRIVERS AND CREWS
ARE GOING TO LEARN TO BOICOT THE RACES? THAT IS ALL
IS GOING TO TAKE TO STOP NASCAR INSANITY.
