Dave Blaney can't believe his team is still struggling for a spot in the top 35:

"Honestly, with 10 races left, I can't believe we're sitting here fighting for a spot in the top 35 because this Caterpillar team has run so much better than that so many times. Tommy has done a great job of bringing good cars to the track every week, but we've just had so many problems either finishing races at all or finishing them in one piece."

Um .. yeah. I think that's what I said. I'll be rooting for Ken Schrader this weekend.

DEI Engines Blow
Dale Earnhardt Jr. isn't the only one who gets bad engines at DEI. Martin Truex Jr. blew one in testing at Talladega on Monday ... and another last month at Iowa. Those are the engines they give Junior on race day.

I thought the DEI/Childress engines were supposed to improve the engines. Maybe they joined together just to cut costs. I will be rooting for 5 drivers this weekend. I'll also be rooting against a couple of drivers :) . "WORKS FOR ME" :)

its bad enough she won't give him control of dei,or even half.but to take his grandfathers #8,too.big dale would not like what has happened.but she'll be making big bucks,still.because the #3 is still bringing in revenue.

Caroline, I think Teresa is hurting her own company, the number should have been placed with JR. JR is grown up and has the maturity to deal with the company issues. It would be great if I there wasnt a poster that says. Works for me... !!

Hey milk, looks like you've got your bet covered with the Blaney bunch. Dave is a nice guy, but he should go back to open wheel where he belongs. Why don't the Jr fans realize that when they knock Teresa and call her names, they are insulting Dale Sr too. Was he so blind and dumb that he couldn't even pick the right woman to marry. I think not. I met him several times, and he didn't seem the type to be taken in by a "greedy back-stabbing cold hearted bitch", as she is often described by Jr's fans. Dale picked her to spend the rest of his life with, and to help start up his company. She paid her dues by sticking close and working with him as he climbed the ladder to success. Jr and his sister didn't do the work, she did. But they sure want all the glory of his accomplishments, and his name.....not to mention all the money. Can't help but wonder who Dale would have thought was being greedy and self centered in this situation. He left it all to her, that should be a hint. Works for me....

Must be a slow news day, maybe Monday. But here, it is back too work. Sorry. Jr. did not make the local news once today. Where is he, what is he doing ? You don;t hear him complaining, now. Until we all hear, he is not happy with what he is doing, maybe he is getting ready for a Busch race, nice change of pace. All his fans including the kids would love to see #8 in a car, racing.

Back surgery, is over, did not go well.Will never have done again!!! I Missed mike & mike the last 2 days, are they on Vacation again????????? No football or baseball to talk about. And all that wonderful sports. Will check in to stocks and bonds, but don't know where to find them at this time of day.

Where is whats it face. Don someone or other. No station wants him yet. See, I thought so, still miss him. Don't tell him that 1. He is probably happy, where he is too. See, slow news day. I got to play nursy nurse today, for 4 hours, can't stay on this much longer. Have company here is 1/2 hour, and got to go shopping. Keep up the hard work, will see you all in the funny paper on Sunday. peaches3

I am sorry you could not find me, Kathy. I was in two of the other discussion groups learning about male homophobia and what appears to be my own self esteem issues in one room. And giving a lesson in the Bill of Rights and the fact that all Americans should learn them and excercise them or run the risk of losing them in another. Kim and Cynthia were helping me but I failed to ask in advance if there was going to be a fee for services. I fear I may be getting a bill in the mail.
I was not going to participate in this room as the range of topics posted by TGOM had ADD written all over them. I will be in another room if you need me.
Oh, where are my manners? I hope your recovery is going well.

OMG, I couldn't agree more! I have said the very same thing as you on many occasions. I am constantly amazed by the Jr. Nation's hatred toward Theresa. Dale Sr. loved her, married her, was committed to her, and left her everything, which is clearly what HE wanted. Why does everyone (except you and me apparently) believe she should just give all that up to her step-children because they decided it should be theirs?
