That's a seriously cool idea. Whatever people's views on whether the number is important, it's keeping in mind how many fans he has and their passion. (And frankly, I love looking at tattoos to see what people are willing to put on their bodies.)

Oh My God! What idiots! I am postively in total complete love with Jimmie Johnson! I think he is the most amazing driver and a great man. I have told my husband that if Jimmie would ever give me one night with him, I am taking it! He said if I could get him to go for it! :-) All that being said....I would NEVER tattoo the number 48 anywhere on my body nor would I tattoo J.J.'s name, or even my husband's for that matter. And for your information....I do have two tattoos. Anyone who would tattoo a driver's number anywhere on their bodies, is an idiot. Feel sorry for them for being idiotic, not for losing thier precious "immortalized" number!

I know what you mean, Kim. I told my wife the same if i ever had a chance with Sara Evans or Britney Spears, but she didnt take it as well as your hubby did, but i'd still do it! I agree with you, im a huge Jr fan, but never for one sec did i EVER consider getting a #8 tatoo cause i wasnt nieve enough to believe he'd drive with that number his whole career. If i was too though, i'd get a number 3 cause you know that will always be aligned with Dale Sr, but i just laugh at the stupidasses dumb enough to do that, and it's a shame Jr has to take those idiots into account, but maybe they'll learn to to be so assume things and do idiotic things!

Let's have fun! The tattoes are not forced on these people. They selected their tattoes and they are proud of them. My dad has a Dale jr car, red with the 8 and he is still proud of that car and will always be. I wish that we would quit judging others and enjoy the passion of these Nascar fans. These tattoes are not hurting anyone. I enjoy looking at them.

I know what you mean, steffi, as far as retrieving your post. I get so pissed, i always say im goin to proofread before i send and i always end up clicking add before i realize it. I wont lie, i did think about getting a number 8 tatoo, but i, like said before, realized that Jr would not drive that car forever, i have thought about getting a number 3, but i just havent got around to it. I will say, though, had i gotten one, i'd still be pulling for Jr to get a new number, cause i think it'll be a good change on him, however, i was hopin he'd get the number 5, it being a single digit and i think those are the most marketable, but obviously with Casey goin there that wont happen, but i'd love to see him get the 38 too. I really find it interesting also about the Coors sponsorship, but frankly i cant blame them. I find it funny that Ganassi kicked Sterlin to the curve for him, and when they arent getting what they like from Stremme's performance, he says goodbye to Coors, when Stremme isnt worthy of being in that ride. Im hearing, according to the jayski website, Coors maybe heading to DEI, and as much as im against Teresa and what she's done, i have to say i'd be cool to see them possibly get Greg Biffle after next year and see him in the #8 Coors Light Chevy, that'd be kinda cool, however it'll never be as great as having Dale Jr in the Bud car, but Teresa has sucked at getting sponsors and drivers so i'd be suprised if she was lucky enough to get Coors.

More garbage. I still say that Jr could have kept the number 8 if he had really wanted to. Since Teresa's company owns the rights to that number, all she asked for was a percentage of revenue generated by Jr using it. Jr said no, no, no, he wanted all the pie or nothing. Jr has made a ton of money so far in Nascar,and he will never have to worry about where his next meal is coming from. If he loved the number 8, and his fans so much, then why didn't he agree to a split of the revenue. Simple.....GREED. If I had a tattoo with his number in it, I'd be a little pissed at him right now for putting money above my support. How blind can these fools be. Oh wait, they elected Bush......nevermind. denying Jr. the #8? The way I see it, having been
a fan of Dale Sr. and now Jr., if Teresa really
wanted to show her love for Sr. she'd let Jr have
had the number 8. I think Sr. would probably roll
over several times in his grave, after all that was
his dad's number and was passed on to Jr. It's an
Earnhardt traditon thing. I don't think she would
appreciate it if Taylor was denyed something that
was special to the memory of her father. She's just
being bitchy because it's just one more thing she
can control and dictate to Dale's older kids.

Yo cynthia, who looks like an idiot now. This kind of ranting and raving is what's turning a lot of fans against Jr and his fans. I don't see how anyone can feel sorry for him. Sure he lost his dad, but so have countless others, it's called life.....deal with it. Last I heard, Jr was the highest paid driver in Nascar while at DEI, knocking down 20 million bucks a year. Man that Teresa is a stingy bitch making Jr live on starvation wages. Let me try and state my position on Jr one more time. I like Jr, and I don't have any thing against him or his fans,except for their behavior sometimes. I don't have a man crush on him, and in no way am I jealous of him. He is not the best driver in NASCAR as time will show. And as he himself stated, this whole mess is not Teresa's fault alone. In conclusion, Jr is a man, not the second Messiah. He can't walk on water, and if he can turn water into wine, he better not let Bud or any of the other beer sponsors find out. But go ahead and build your shrines to him, adorn your bodies and possessions with his images, and continue on in your blind faith. But quit dissing and jumping on everyone else who doesn't share your view. After all, and beyond your worship of Jr, this is America and we are all free to discuss and offer our opinions. What does Don Emerson have between his ears? Not a brain that is for sure. The way drivers change teams, people are brainless to tattoo any driver number on their body. If someone is brainless enough to tattoo a number on their body of a driver they should do a 24 because Jeff Gordon has a lifetime contract with HMS. For sure Jeff Gordon has a better record than Jr. and a better record than Dale Sr.

You condemn Nascar fans repeatedly. Why are you here commenting on Nascar? Did you vote for George like you claim every Nascar fan did? I can think of many of my friends that are Nascar fans that are also Democrats. If I had to guess what Nascar driver probably has the most fans that are Democrats it would be Jr. You are right about democracy. You can say whatever you want. If I had my choice between most Democrats vs most Republicans then I'll probably go Republican. I want my country defended and as far as I am concerned...most Democrats I see are ashamed of their country and I can sleep a lot easier knowing that my president wants to protect us and our way of life. I could say a lot more why I vote Republican but this is supposed to be Nascar. I'll drop politics and I sincerely hope that you will do that as well.

Why is it any of your business what Jr makes? Tiger Woods is projected to be a billionaire when he retires. Teresa is worth millions too.

Sandie, you are wrong on one point, Jeff does NOT have a better record than Senior. First off, Senior has almost twice as many championships that Gordon has. And second off, Senior died in his prime, he was still contending for wins and would've had more, so no one will never know how many more wins Senior would've had so you cant in sense compare what Gordon's wins would equal to him, unless he dies as well driving now. So therefore Senior has the superior record to Gordon. As far as Junior, yes, Gordon does have a superior one but as close as they are in age, Gordon has seven more seasons in the sport than Junior does and Junior has had more inferior equipment than Gordon has had at his disposal so as far as im concerned that's an unfair comparision. You need to study up more on your Nascar history and stats before you open your mouth!
