Before heading to Daytona, the NASCAR drivers are getting their Fourth of July celebrations on--and you should be, too.Kevin and Delana Harvick will spend the day hanging out with family and friends, enjoying food and fireworks.
Elliott Sadler and his girlfriend headed out to the Sadler family vacation spot in Nags Head, N.C. and will spend time at the beach and on the golf course.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. is holding court and sipping a Bud somewhere silently evaluating potential drivers to replace Shane Huffman.
Jimmie Johnson is polishing his ESPY Award acceptance speech.
Jeff Gordon is basking in fatherhood.
Mark Martin is plotting and scheming on how to get NASCAR to throw him the win this weekend.
Juan Pablo Montoya and Marcus Ambrose are wondering what all the fuss is about, but will take a free day off nonetheless.
TGOM is going to the 4th of July Celebration at the Starlight Bowl tonight to take the Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra and a laser light show. Fire conditions are too dry for fireworks up there, but before the night's over we'll still have a chance to catch the Dodger Stadium display from my living room window.
Geoffrey Miller is already MIA so I have no idea what he's up to, but I can only assume it involves food, fireworks and fun.
Speaking of food, The Fanhouse is live-blogging the Nathan's Famous Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest. Gross.
Now, please tell me that reading The Fanhouse isn't the only thing on your agenda today.
Many thanks to all members of the U.S. armed forces past and present who willingly put their lives at risk to protect our freedoms and make the celebration of Independence Day possible and worthwhile.
Happy Fourth of July!

Dale JR. why don't you put a proven driver in the 88 Navy car Dennis setzer. If he has a good hot rod he can make you and your sponsor look great.
