Greg Biffle's "I'm A Roush Fenway Driver ending all speculation for now" period has ended. It lasted about six days.
Those comments were made the day before the Pocono 500. This week, it's perfectly clear that Biffle has one foot in and one out the door at Roush:
"I didn't forget how to drive at Pocono. We were 43rd at Pocono before qualifying. Qualified 42nd and ran 30th. And I am not going to sign a 5-year extension running like that."Biffle still plans to honor his contract and claims to be around 90 percent sure that he will resign, but only if he sees improvement and until then, he won't renegotiate.
Biffle insists that he's not trying to find a way to leave, just that he's unhappy. And if he's not happy, he's not negotiating.
And he's apparently not going to be shy about letting potential owners know the door is still open.

Seems the owners of nascar, like chevy, so get one, since dodge is going to leave with the new ownership coming in to place i bet, and toyota, coming up very short, and fords need about fifty horsepower. Funny thing is the nascars boys who broadcast the races never mention this at all, of course its all in the family and dont hurt it. Nascar is more brand dependent then they think i bet, and i thought one of the reasons for the ugly race car, was so you could adjust for parity. I know you may not belive this but just look at who is finishing in the second five, mostly chevy guys, that tells who which brand has the most power. Is there going to be a cot engine next year too.

Now that Jr's out of the mix, Biffle to Gibbs or RCR, hopefully moreso Gibbs. I hope he replaces that no talent Yeley, if he does, Biffle becomes one of my top fav drivers and gets much closer to a championship!

I don't think he's a crybaby at all. Since his killer 2005 season, his team has tanked. Carl Edwards is struggling too, just not to the extent Biffle is. The only one at Roush who gets it done week in and week out is Kenseth. Some of that Roush magic walked out the door as soon as 2005 ended and they haven't managed to get it back (maybe it snuck out the door with Kurt Busch...?) Biffle's way more talented than his results this year, or last year, show (and I am no Biffle fan).

The fact that Kenseth is still competetive when most Fords are not says a lot about the 17 team. Ford hasn't kept pace with Chevy or even Dodge, but the 17
team surely has. Plus, Matt is one of the five best drivers. Biffle is also a very talented driver, and given a competetive car, will be right back in contention. It won't happen this year since Ford is so far behind the curve, but if Ford catches up or Biffle lands a ride in a Chevy or even a Dodge, Greg will be a factor in the 2008 season.

HEY CJ- IN THE 14 RACES SO FAR THIS YEAR, "NO TALENT YELEY", AS YOU CALL HIM, HAS 11 FINISHES 23rd OR BETTER- BIFFLE ONLY 8. YELEY HAS ONLY ONE DNF- BIFFLE HAS 2. YELEY'S HIGHEST FINISH WAS 2nd AT CHARLOTTE- BIFFLE'S WAS 6th AT BRISTOL. YELEY IS STARTING ON THE POLE SUNDAY AT MICHIGAN- NO POLE STARTS FOR BIFFLE SO FAR THIS YEAR. SO MUCH FOR "NO TALENT YELEY".
