Regardless of what happened on the track between Busch and Tony Stewart, his drive down pit road was unconscionable.
Certainly his crime is worth more punishment than say, illegal rear mounting brackets.
Busch deserves nothing less than a hefty fine, to be parked for a race and sentenced to anger management for his imprudent behavior--maybe Stewart can give him some pointers. They also ought to assign him to one of those Home Depot KaBOOM! charity projects. Maybe helping out the kids will inspire him to learn how to play nice with others.
Using the car as a weapon? Unacceptable. Stewart responds:

I've known Roger Penske since high school (we went to the same school) and He is a classy guy. He should distance himself from Kurt Busch as soon as possible. He should have a classy driver like Mark Martin in his stable. He also needs a professional spotter to advise Kurt when it is safe to "clear" a car he has just passed. Roger can do better and should start now. His motto: Effort = Reward. Let Kurt Busch be a Right Front tire changer for the rest of the season....

Thankfully the over the wall crew member was alert enough to evade serious injury from the raging idiot driving at him with deadly force. Park him and see if he has the rage under control next time? Not enough, he is no snow angel. Ban him from Nascar.

I think they have hit em where they live,..park him for a race, that way, he loses money and more importantly, he loses points, cause we all know, its the points that matter

I hate it for Penske and Newman's sake, but Kurt Busch was WAY out of line with his pit road extra curicular activities.
I think that is great that he has to sit out at least one race.

What Busch did this weekend was totally unaccipable! Period! One race suspension are you kidding me? He needs to be suspended for a minimum of 5 races if not for the entire season! Not only did he take a condender out of the race but he but the lives of the pit crew at stake. If NASCAR is all about safety right now, they have their first candidate to make an example of. I dont really care that he is a past champion in this sport. These actions should not be tollerated and he needs severe penalties, not a slap on the wrist by a one race suspension. NASCAR will be a joke to me if they go light.

Please show me a fine...a good stiff penalty...as if the shoe was on the other foot....TONY would have been fined to death and Kurt Busch is a whine ass. and a proven poor sport..
Kurt my advice to you to Move over and let the REAL racers
race...you are a wanna be, who never will be..,.GET A GRIP..
Once again I would like to see Kurt Busch made to pay a hefty fine and pubicly apologize for his actions as well as poopr sportsmanship, maybe even visit ANGER MANAGEMENT and should be suspended for the season for violating rules and an safety
code....
KEYS PLEASE KURT...YOU ARE DONE...LOL
Tony has paid the price for all his bad judgement calls and ALL THE SAME RULES SHOULD APPLY TO OTHERS...
RUBBING IS RACING, BUT THIS MOVE WAS OVER THE TOP, AND COULD HAVE CASUED SERIOUS HARM TO REAL PEOPLE, T

You know it is one thing to cause an accident during the race, even on the track to come along side someone you think is at fault and show them your displeasure, but to run up on a car in the pits where crew members and nascar officials are all out there - that is attempted homicide! Seriously, Kurt Busch should be suspended indefinitely, and I agree with the person who says Roger Penske should let him go, I am not a Penske fan(Indy car thing) but he is a class act and usually his drivers are people you can respect and look up to as professional. Kurt Busch does not fit into that category.
Roger - fire Busch, hire Dale JR.

The overreaction to this Kurt Busch/Tony Stewart event is ridiculous.
Kurt Busch was out of line for deciding to "make a point" with Stewart with his car, IN THE PITS. But this sort of thing happens all the time during the course of a race, IN THE PITS. Doesn't make it right, but it does happen. People bump, beat and bang on each other intentionally on a routine basis as part of nearly every race. It just so happens that this was isolated and on camera for the whole world to see because they were nearly the only ones on pit road at the time. There just HAPPENED to be a crew member near that side of the car when Kurt pulled along side him. He had no intentions of involving any of Tony’s pit crew when he drove up along side of him.
I think a lot of people are forgetting the fact that a penalty has already been given to Kurt Busch and his race team. He WAS PARKED ALREADY. So, with that in mind, the only thing that should happen now is a hefty fine. AND THAT'S ALL.
And yes. I AM a Kurt Busch fan. The whole thing sucks. If he and Tony hadn’t had ANY contact this year, they both would likely have earned another 250 points each for their finishes. (In case you’re wondering, Tony would then be in 5th a few points out of fourth and Kurt would be in 6th.) If Kurt gets parked and docked points he will absolutely miss the Chase. He would fall behind the rest of the top 20 by 100-195 points in addition to whatever amount NASCAR docks him. Say its 100 points from NASCAR, and 125 from missing the race. 225 points would put him 24th in the points, 845 points behind the leader, and 221 points out of 12th place with only 12 races left for him to move up in. Pretty much ends his season.

Let’s get back to reality here. Any post that states things like "in a real world situation...that driver would be charged criminally...likely with assault (with) a deadly weapon with intent to harm or vehicular manslaughter”, etc., is asinine. (If you don't know what asinine means try inserting 'retarded' in its place.) I don't have the time or space in this forum to explain to you how far from the legal truth that mentality really is. From a legal standpoint, it makes about as much sense as saying the sky is red, not blue. Kurt's car came to stop was right about where the crew member might have been standing before he instinctively jumped onto the hood of Tony"s car. My point is----> even if Kurt had struck the crew member, there was absolutely ZERO chance he was going to kill him at under 5 mph. So stop being so dramatic.
I think most of you all are forgetting the fact that a penalty has already been given to Kurt Busch and his race team. He WAS PARKED ALREADY. So, with that in mind, the only thing that should happen now is a hefty fine. AND THAT'S ALL.
(I can't imagine NASCAR doing more than parking a driver [which they did already] and handing out a fine. I don't think they should take points away. Point deductions are usually handed out for things that involve cheating or gaining an unfair edge on the track (or cussing on tv). Those things all have to do with TEAM actions to gain an advantage. Kurt pulling alongside Tony in the pits after a wreck had nothing to do with racing, preparing for the race, qualifying, or running the race and they obviously didn't gain any advantages. Points should not be taken in my opinion. But then again, NASCAR may want to make an example.)

Unfortunately I did not watch the entire race due to Dr. appointments and such. But I did see thru video what happened with Busch and Stewart. What Kurt did in the pits was unacceptable. I guess Busch didn't realize that he about mowed down a member of Tony's pit crew. Absolutely immature and downright ridiculous if you ask me.

Nate, I stand behind you, sound words. I myself am getting a little tired of Tony's attitude towards the "geek" drivers who become faster than him. Re-read the Sept 2006 wreck involving Tony and Ryan...interstingly Tony's post race diatribe was very similar about Ryan's being one of a few bad apples. Tony does not like giving up, especially to certain individuals who can race passed him.
Was Kurt out of order? Yes. Hard way to learn a lesson. I was listening to the radio on Kurt's channel during the race. Tony would not leave him alone. I have lost some respect for Tony thru this last race. One more thing, the Fox poll showed 93% of 83,000+ votes blaming Tony for what happened on the track. Tony will continue to cause problems with anyone who is racing him hard and is geeky.

To say that Stewart should be parked just because you don't like him is stupid, for whoever said that. Let's not get immature about this over biased opinions. Kurt is at fault for his little tantrum and he's getting punished for it. Leave it at that.

Kevin Harvick was parked a few years ago for a much lesser offense, 1 week penality is just not acceptable. NASCAR has the opportunity the set an example here that this cannot and will not be condoned
